Graphite Electrode of Using and Transport Precautions
 
1. Special tools should be used for lifting the graphite electrode. Graphite electrode is strictly forbidden to use the crowbar.
 
2. The graphite electrode is prohibited from rain, snow and water leaching and should be kept dry.
 
3. Before connecting the graphite electrode, carefully check whether the electrode joint hole is intact, whether the joint thread is damaged, whether the joint bolt is lost.
 
4. Dust and debris in the joints and joint holes must be cleaned with compressed air. Do not use other items to clean.
 
5. Graphite electrode should be dried in a drying oven before use. The furnace temperature is not more than 150 °C, and the drying time is not less than 30 hours.
 
6. The electrodes should be close to each other. Use professional torque to move the hand to prevent excessive or too little force. Never allow tilting.
 
7. The electrode chuck should be clamped, not loose and in good contact, and should not generate arcing.
 
8. In order to avoid electrode breakage, the small piece of material in the furnace should be placed in the upper part, and the insulating block should not be installed. The working current of the electrode should be compatible with the allowable current of the electrode of the specification.
