Stopper Head Brick Introduction
 
Stopper head brick is located at the lowermost end of the plug and the refractory brick is closely matched with the nozzle brick. Stopper head brick is the core component of the plug system, which is composed of a refractory stopper head brick and a built in steel argon core. Types of original stopper bricks and problems in actual use The stopper bricks are further divided into two types according to the connection mode of the stopper bricks, one is a stopper refractory brick, the other is a threaded stopper head bricks.

Stopper Head Brick Application
 
Stopper head brick is located at the lowermost end of refractory brick is closely matched with the nozzle brick. When it is not poured, it blocks the nozzle to ensure no steel leakage. When the pouring is carried out, the plug is raised to make a gap between the stopper head brick and the nozzle refractory brick, the molten steel flows out from the nozzle. Control the height of the plug to adjust the outflow of molten steel. The thread between the stopper head brick and the rod core can be fixed with a thread or a pin.Stopper head bricks can be clay, non burnt high alumina and tar impregnated non burnt high alumina refractory bricks.
