High Alumina Lightweight Brick Manufacturing Process by Foam Method
 
1.The heavy grade high alumina bauxite mill with A12O3 content of about 55% and the combined fire clay with A12O3 content of 31-32% are used as raw materials.
 
2.A foaming agent is prepared using sodium rosinate. Sodium rosin foam is made by saponification of rosin and alkali, then formulated into a stabilizer bone cement solution.
 
3. The casting of lightweight high alumina bricks is carried out on iron plates placed under a porous aluminum mold. The inner wall of the model is made of 5-6 layers of paper. The molding mud is slowly injected into the mold until it is full. Also, the vibration is slightly increased to make the green body uniform and reduce cracking.
 
4. The green body of light refractory bricks can be demolded after drying at 35-45 ℃ for 24 hours; after 7 days, the body moisture is less than 1%. light weight alumina brick is fired in the kiln at 1300-1340℃.
 
High Alumina Lightweight Brick of Flammable Addition Method
 
1. Light refractory bricks having a bulk density of 0.8 can also be produced by adding a combustible material to the mud. The combustible characters used in production include sawdust, rice husk, coke powder and anthracite. The requirements for flammable additives are that they are easily burned out, the ash content is low, and the amount of harmful impurities in the ash is small. Generally, sawdust and rice husk are used, and the amount of addition is generally 30-40%. The sawdust is sieved; the rice husk can be co-milled with high alumina bauxite. The mud and the combustible plus characters are mixed in a wet mill for 4-5 minutes, or extruded into a mud strip by a screw extruder. The moisture content of the mud is 40-50%.
 
2. The mixed mud can be molded in a wooden model. The wood model is first wetted with water, brushed with sawdust, then filled with mud, smoothed and demolded. After the body of light high alumina insulation brick is dried, light weight alumina bricks are fired at the required temperature.
